Traditionally cod is caught using only a fishhook.

This is how Icelandic fishermen, who have supplied us with cod for over 150 years, catch the cod. Also according to tradition, the cod is immediately salted in situ, and then stored for at least 30 days. Our technicians travel to our suppliers´ factories to carry out this process, which means that we can truly say “our manufacturing process begins in Iceland”. The salting and curing processes give the cod that unmistakable flavour of traditional cod. Next it is packed in salt so that the curing process can continue until it reaches Spain.

Once it has reached our facilities the bones are removed from the most highly-prized pieces and they are carefully divided into portions, depending on the product that we want to obtain. The last stage is the packaging.
